Help with heating

Hi, I have a week old baby boy and was wondering what temperature on the heating should I have it on? And how long should it be on for? I don't want him over heating nor being too cold. As you can possibly tell I'm a first time mum! I do have a growegg to tell me the temp. Thank you for any help

Congratulations!

I'd aim for the temperature in the room the baby sleeps to be 18-20C. My baby is a bit older but the nursery is 19C and he wears a long sleeve vest and a sleeping bag.

He'll let you know if he's too cold - I don't expect he's shy about letting no you know if anything else is wrong Wink but the risk is getting too hot, so don't bundle up in too many layers at this point.
