14mo keeps biting me!

Is there anything I can do? At the moment I just completely ignore it as I had some vague idea that you are not meant to award bad behaviour with attention. I'm sure it's just a phase but she's been really going at it today and I'm worried she'll maybe end up doing it to another toddler at a playgroup or something - and it fecking hurts so don't want that. Nor do I want to keep getting bitten myself tbh.

Any suggestions much appreciated.

I used to say "No!" then remove myself physically, walk away and turn my back. Then not speak at all or look at them for about 3 minutes.

It infuriates them and it works.

A sharp NO then move child away from you if you are playing etc and ignore . Repeat ad infinitum.

Thanks - will try removing myself for a minute or two. I do manage to grit my teeth and not yelp if she bites my hand or something. If she gets my neck or wrist or something that's another story! Will try not to.
