Sickness.... worried... help!

My DS woke at 4am this morning and we found he had been sick. It had obviously been a while ago and his face was very sore looking because he has lay in it. We tidied him up and he was happy etc, fell asleep but kept waking and being sick again (mainly just mucus, saliva, etc).
At 7am we fed him as normal and he threw 6oz of his bottle immediately back up. Again he is still happy etc.
I've had to come to work and i have explained all to nursery so i'm working on the theory 'we'll see how he goes'.... I dont know quite why i'm posting, i'm just worried and hope i'm doing the right thing!

There seems to be a sickness bug doing the rounds atm - we've all had it.

Sorry, but I wouldn't have sent him to nursery ( I know it's hard when you're working) as dd2 seemed happy enough straight after but was up and down with it for a couple of days.

I feel really bad for sending him to nursery but its been a bad week for me. I was off Monday & Wednesday myself and i finish today for Christmas (still using my holiday after maternity! - Use it or lose it here)...

The nursery is actually next to where i work, and i'm going to phone shortly to see how he is.

Not sure how old your DS is - but could it be teething? DD threw up spectacularly last Friday and got her first tooth on Saturday. My sister's two did this too.

Hope he is better soon!

Yeah your right, he had one tooth but may have more. Have spoken to nursery and he seems a lot better so perhaps that was it. Fingers crossed he'll be better for the weekend.

sorry to hijack a bit, but why did nursery take him. They are not suppose to take children who have been sick for 48 hours after the last time they vomit. if it is a bug it will go right around the nursey. I have had to close as parents havnt told me child had been sick, and all including me have got it.

Well, i wasnt sure if they would take him or not as this hasnt happened before, but i explained the full story and they were happy to have him.
[please don't shout i'm new at this emoticon]
