Wondering if anyone has any advice? My 21/2 yr old step daughter is very uncordinated. She struggles with simple tasks such as getting dressed and brushing her teeth. It took 2 months to teach her how to ride a bike ( she couldn't figure out how to pedal) she falls at least 10 times a day and that doesn't include running into things. Like today she ran right into the back of the van. Yesterday she fell going up the steps then again going down then again walking to the van. This was all within a 2 minute time span. It's very difficult teaching her new things. Potty training took 4 months my son and daughters only took about week. Brushing her teeth she doesn't seem to understand the brushing concept. I try to show her then have her do it and she just sucks on the tooth brush? There's certain things I can ask her or try to explain and she just looks at me like she doesn't understand. She talks very well and seems to understand most of what we say but when it comes to physical movement she has a very hard time. All my kids were able to complete tasks such as dressing themselves ( shirts would be backwards and so on) but she can't even put a shirt on or put pants on correctly. She seems to have trouble just putting her legs into the pants? She does not follow direction well at all. She has a big issue with putting things in her mouth. I'm talking hand sanitizer, soap, baby powder, rocks, old gum she's found on the ground, bugs, sticks, pretty much everything goes right into her mouth. I can tell her to get the toy off of the chair and she will look everywhere else, I have to repeat direction 3 to 5 times before she fully gets what I'm asking or telling her to do. I'm getting very concerned because it doesn't seem to be getting any better. It has actually gotten worse the last 6 months or so. Not sure if this is normal but I've never had this issue with my 3 including my son who is only 6 months older than her. Any advice will help I am considering having her evaluated just wanted to get some input first
