Dummies/thumb sucking

My lo is 14 weeks and has never had a dummy and only sucked her thin twice when she was a week old... Do you think I will get away with out using a dummy for the future ?

It's up to you whether or not you need a dummy, nobody is going to make you use oneSmile

Is that what you mean btw? Slightly confused by the question!

Well sometimes she cries and does a sucking motion with her tongue but is not hungry it's when she's trying to get off to sleep and I think that a dummy would do the job but reluctant to give in and use one of I have got this far without. mIL keeps bringing it up

I gave ds one as he'd comfort suck on my boob for hours & I wanted a break. Tbh he still has it at bedtime and he's now 3.5. I haven't regretted it for a second. They're not as evil as people make out!

Ds had one and I managed to bin it at 8 months, dd was same as your little one op. I never gave in she is now 13 months and never had a dummy and her thumb only goes in her mouth when shes teething and chomping on it!
