8-10 month check - what's the deal?

So I was browsing my dd's red book the other day and attempting to remember when she'd first eaten with a spoon / sat unsupported etc (I'm very chuffed with all her achievements I just never remember to write it down!) and saw a page for the 8-10 month review. DD has just gone 8 months. Am I meant to contact the hv or do they contact me? And what sort of thing are they reviewing? Any info gratefully received!

My DD had her check last week although it's called an under 1 check here and she is just 11 months.
Just had her weight length and head circumference done
chat about sleeping eating toothbrushing etc
and lots of development questions can they sit up, tap 2 objects together, do they looks for something they have dropped are just a few I can think of
basically just checking there are no developmental red flags or you don't have any concerns

Its a check just to see how your little one is developing and if you have any concerns ext. I was never contacted and had to call to make the appointment myself so maybe juat check with you HV to see if you need to wait and hear from them or if there is anything you need to do

Ta folks! I'll wait until dd is nine months and then give them a call - I go back to work when she's ten months so could do with it happening before then.
