Why's he stopped sleeping through

Hi there

My ds 15 months has decided that sleeping through is no fun .. he wakes at least once and sometimes twice during the night and for the last week i have brought him into my bed to settle him, however i want to stop this before it becomes a pattern ...

Does anyone know why he might have stopped sleeping through and how can I get him to see this is a good idea??

Got a friend who's just had a nightmare time with her ds (17m) he didn't sleep much at night for about 2 weeks.
They've just been on holiday for 10 days so things were a lot more relaxed - no one had to get up in the morning!
First night he slept OK because he fell asleep in the car.
The next night they kept him up a bit later anyway, hoping for a bit of a lie in, so he was still up when they were eating. He had a bit of what they were eating or something else if he didn't like it with his usual bottle and he started sleeping through again.
They made a point of giving him a bit of supper and now he slept through every night on hols and has continued to do so. He also sleeps later no more 5:30am alarm calls of Mama!
Does this help?

At the risk of sounding like the world's worst mother - it took us over a week to figure out that DD was waking ever hour or so because she was cold - have now upped her growbag to a heavier one and she's sleeping like an angel again

I would appreciate answers to this question too. I've tried extra food and blankets to and my ds (1) still wakes in the night.

Well judging by the fact I'm yet another one with the same problem . . (dd 15 months). I'm inclined to think there's something in my mother mumbling on about clocks going forward and change in seasons?!?! If I find an answer I'll let you all know.

Teething? My DS has slept very well since he was quite little but when hes cutting teeth always wakes at least once, has a feed & then stays in our bed for the rest of the night (only way we get any sleep). When the teeth stop moving he goes back to being the wierd sleepy lad he is.

We have this with teething too. Every time one is on the move dd wakes up between 3 and 5am. Sometimes she settles back and sometimes not.

Medised before she goes to sleep usually helps.

Don't think it's nightmares and don't remember going through this with dd who is now 4. Being awake at this time of the morning is no fun.

It must be something in the air as my dd nearly ten months keeps waking in the middle of the night, what a nightmare! She's not unhappy, just full of beans and wanting to play grrr

Will check her gums for new teeth in the morning

I really struggle to ge back to sleep tho

If it's any consellation (sp?) I got a full night's sleep last night, well ds did, didn't do anything different to any other night and he didn't wake until 6.30! I on the other hand woke a lot listening for him to wake ... hopefully that's a habit I will get out of as he sleeps through more often ...

Fingers crossed for tonight!
