4 year old has regressed in potty training

Hi,this is my first time on mumsnet but I really need advice and don't know where else to look. My 4 year old son has a speech delay which made it difficult for me to potty train him. Thankfully I managed to fully potty train him about 4-5 months ago. He was really good and wouldn't have accidents even at night. He would always tells me if he needed to go bathroom.
However in the last few days he has been having loads of accidents and has been waiting until afterwards to let us know he needs to go. He is starting reception next week and I am scared that he has regressed.

Is it normal for kids to go back a step in potty training after so many months. I'm not sure why he would regress and what to expect.

I'm sorry, I'm no expert but didn't want to read and run.

Here is a link (apologies if you've already seen it) about potty training regression which seems to point to anxiety or stress in children who have regressed on many occasions.

Good luck.
