DS2 (3.4) has been completely and reliably toilet trained for almost a year. He was a dream to toilet train, instigated it himself and was dry day and night within a week. He has probably wet the bed 2 or 3 times in the last year, always when ill, and has literally never had a full in accident in the daytime - only the very occasional "tiny dribble" when we've not quite made it to the loo on time.
I honestly haven't given his toileting habits a thought in months as he takes himself (or asks to go if we are out).
All of this has suddenly changed. He has wet the bed for the last 2 nights, and has had full on wee accidents (i.e. completely emptying his bladder and soaking his clothes) every day this week. When asked why it is happening, he says "goo goo, I am a baby."
Now he's normally a confident and very happy little thing, but I am expecting a new baby in a few months (which he seems happy about, but talks about a lot) and he is starting pre-school soon (again he seems happy, but it's a major topic of conversation for him). So I can see why he might be feeling unsettled, although this is not manifesting itself in other ways.
My question is what to do about it. Stay calm and ignore it? Instigate a star chart / reward system (I'm sure he's in control)? Any other ideas?
Thanks in advance.
