11 month old - how much milk?

My lo only has one bottle now at bedtime. It's around 7 oz (210ml). She doesn't have much milk in her meals. I'm a bit worried she isn't having enough but if she has more bottles she doesn't eat her breakfast, lunch or dinner.
Does this amount sound ok or should I try and give her more?

At that stage my ds had about the same morning & night. I encouraged him to eat yoghurt and cheese. He's now a fine, strapping three year old.

It sounds fine, but I'd also be trying to work as much milk into her meals as possible. Cereal/porridge for breakfast, creamy sauces, yogurt or custard for pudding etc.

Until they are 1 its recommended that they have at least 20floz. That amount is less than the 300ml minimum recommended each day for a 1 to 2 year old.

I'd try her with a beaker of milk with her breakfast, make sure she has her vitamins and offer plenty of calcium rich foods like dried figs, tinned sardines and tinned salmon, broccolli and smooth almond butter. Some foods like bread and ready brek are fortified with calcium, its best to check the label though as not all breads are Smile

Would it be possible to have another bottle first thing and delay breakfast until an hour after she's finished the bottle?

My twins are fed on demand so they eat whenever they want either via breast or expressed. I can usually pump 12oz in 10 minutes...

So roughly 20 minute bf or 8oz bottle bottle every 3ish hours for our twin dd and every 1-2 hours for our twin ds :) And our dd is weaned; she has 3 meals and a few snacks :)

You could try a bottle in the morning or with cereal and maybe occassionally instead of a snack just to up her intake. As long as she's healthy and her Ped has no concerns about it, I'd say she's fine :)

I have the opposite concern: my DS is 11 months and he's totally finishing his 8oz bottles so I'm making 10oz for the morning and night feeds… still has 8oz bottle in the afternoon… meals are not big (he used to eat more a couple of weeks ago).
Am I giving him too much milk? Is that maybe the reason he is eating less than a couple of weeks ago?

Mine finish there 8oz bottles too, my ds can drink 12oz in one sitting! And he's still below the recommended weight!

Thanks everyone. I'm going to try giving a morning bottle. She starts nursery in a couple of months so I'll have to give her something in the morning before she has her brekkie at nursery anyway. Hopefully she will take it.

My ds is the same at 11 months. Just one bottle before bed although I do bf him several times in the night (a Arrgghh..... For another thread) but he eats lits of yoghurt and cheese. He seems like a very healthy chappy!!
