7 yr old really horrible when cross

I've talked to her about it and she says that when she feels upset (usually by a friend or parent or brother) she loses her temper and can't help how angry she gets. But she can really be horrible, and htis worries me particularly with friends. we can sort it out but I'm worried she'll get a reputation. I particularly worry if she gets upset and angry with a friend when they are at our house. Any tips gratefully received. Have posted similar on parenting thread but no replies yet and feel in need of one!

an interesting book recomendation to help children control their temper. But no experiences shared so if you do have wisdom to share I'd be grateful :-)
