Does anybody elses 20ish month old get really frazzled?

Funny question I know, but my DD is usually a fairly happy little soul. Sleeps pretty well, eats well, learning lots. Over the last month or so every week roughly she just becomes really grizzly, really frazzled and can't do anything with herself, usually at the end of a weekend.

This evening is an example of this, she's has spent the last hour and a half grizzling and now DP is bathing her half an hour early while she intermittently grizzles and manically laughs in that overtired way. We make sure she naps pretty much every day in her cot (when possible). She is going to have to hit the hay really early tonight (like 6.30) which makes me worry about the morning as she's an early riser anyway.

Is this normal?!!

Do her naps tend to happen on a weekend?

Usually, although there are exceptions when we are out and about. This weekend she has napped almost two hours in her cot both days.
