How do I care for my DD if I've had diaorreah?

I had 3 bouts of diaorreah earlier! Took Immodium and fortunately been ok since (fingers crossed it'll remain that way).

Hard to know if its a bug, something I ate or because I've been run down (or all of the above).

My question is though am I ok to care for my DD (8 months old)? Tomorrow it's just the 2 of us (DH out all day and evening). I have no family nearby and the few friends I do have locally all have their own families.

What do I do???

You'll be fine. Every time you have a loose bowel movement sprat bleach on toilet, handles and taps after you're finished and wipe. Keep up with hand washing and don't put any food in your mouth (to check if it's cool etc) before feeding her.

Don't worry the runs are the easy bit to cope with.

You probably should let it run its course though rather than bunging yourself up. Just have a day close to the house.

Make sure you wash your hands really well. That's it really. The 48 hour rule for school is mostly because that children aren't great at washing their hands properly and can spread it around that way.

I had the odd bug when my DDs were young and I was stuck in watching them on my own and they didn't catch it from me.

Everything Gamer said.

Wash hands really thoroughly and try and reduce any germ transfer. Being sick and caring for baby is just one of those things you have to get on with.
