Baby massage for an 8 month old

This might be a silly question but I was wondering if my baby is really too old to do a baby massage course at nearly 8 months. She has had hip issues so was in a brace until recently so couldn't easily do it before. Because of the brace she is not crawling and only just rolling so she wouldn't be as hard to control as other babies her age but I'm just not sure it's the activity that is going to add the most value at her age or whether I would be better off doing something else like gym babies?

I'd give it a go, they were very relaxed on my course and if you needed to walk about the room or feed them then just do it, don't leave if the scream etc. I really love baby massage although I haven't done it in ages so must start again and it is designed to be done up until they are teenagers

I did baby massage with my DD at 8 months. She wasn't crawling or rolling either so I thought it would be fine. It turned out to be hilarious. She spent most kf her time on her side with her feet in her mouth, wriggling. She shuffled halway across the mat, wanted to sit up, babbled and laughed at everything abd everyone. We didnt get much massage done, but we entertained everyone else on the course!

In your area you should have a course run by a trained international association of infant massage, they are great courses and your daughter will be at a great age to get a massage.

Thanks everyone. She has spent half the day trying to roll around so, as we are on a bit of a budget, I think the money might be better spent doing something like gymbabes...
