I'd forgotten what this stage is like

Non sleeping

Fussy feeding

Demanding & assertive

Grabby

Shouty

Wants constant entertaining

I'm exhausted. I want my chilled out baby back!

Remember, everything's a phase & it'll pass. Your chilled baby will be back x x

ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

DS has done nothing but whinge and cry so far today, apart from the 5 minutes I spent holding him in the air playing aeroplanes. But my arms got tired pretty quick and he started moaning again.

It's like someone stole my baby and replaced him with a gremlin. I

s this an actual thing, that all babies go through at this age? He doesn't seem ill or anything, but should I be worried?

Going through the same here. I believe it's a thing at 4 months.

Yay Sad my dd is 12 wks and only just got rid of the non- napping gremlin of the last 2 wks. Oh well. I'll make sure I enjoy my poppet of the next couple of weeks. This too shall pass...

My 4 month old has developed a piercing shriek that he utilises every time he's even a little upset/angry. So annoying.

YES mine does the shriek too!

Every time a toy falls out of reach
Or the milk isn't flowing fast enough
Or I haven't picked him up quickly enough
Or I put him down for a minute

I'm worn out!

I found short 10 minute bursts of BAby TV (Sky Channel 623) were literally the ONLY thing that stopped my DS whingeing at this age (ducks to avoid flaming). Cuddles didn't cut it. Not really old enough to enjoy toys. Hard hard work.

It does pass though :-)

I have 3 kids and I hate to say it but this is just the beginning! Grin

Thank GOD for Baby TV! Mine has managed to scratch his face so he looks like The Joker at the moment.

Dancing - I agree. Four months is the easy stage.

You have my sympathies - but not that much! Looking back I now realise that the first year is a PIECE. OF. PISS. I obviously didn't think so at the time.

DD is 15 months.

I see your 15 months and raise you to 4 years. Bloody nightmarish. Plus a non- sleeping, shrieking 4 month old too. Pass me the gin.

The 4 monthlys. .. where more lights come on and the world becomes much more interesting and there's fuck all they can do about it Grin
