Teething question

This may sound silly, but how long does it take for a tooth to fully pop through?
My daughter is 9mo and has been teething forever! A corner of her first bottom tooth has been visible and palpable for several days now but there has been no progression. She's needing nurofen at least once a day to settle her and whilst i firmly believe in giving pain relief i'm getting a little bit concerned that she's had it every day for several days now.
I'm also using anbesol which does seem to help.

Or is all this a "how long is a piece of string" scenario?

No idea hun sorry but sending some sympathetic Winefor you! My dd is 8 mmonths and been teething in and off since 8 Week and we still have no sign of teeth!! She has had dentinox every few hours for the last two weeks to settle her but still no bloody tooth grrrr

Hope she settles soon!! I would give the Dr or hv a quick call about the nurofen but I am sure it is fairly harmless

I asked pharmacist about how long it's ok to give paracetamol and ibuprofen for - LO had ear infection and needed it for more than a couple days - anyway they said a couple weeks was fine.

Think it can take a few days to a week for tooth to get all way through.

Thank you for replying! Thanks

Well we've waited long enough so far so another few days won't matter Smile
