She's walking!!!

my gorgeous little pumpkin staggered across the room last night into daddies arms! Hurray. She is nearly 17 months old and I have been getting a teensy bit worried about her lack of walking, doesn't even crawl properly, sort of shuffles.

But there is no stopping her now, staggered around a few times last night and again this morning. Looks like the zombie from a Michael Jackson video, with her arms sticking out in front, v funny.

So pleased

Well done to sweetpea!

Galaxy, DD2 didn't walk until she was 19 months.

Thanks all. I did worry but was comparing with other children at toddler group which is daft as they are all different. Every week I got 'is she walking yet? Oh, never mind' grrrrrr. You can't help it though can you? I walked at about 10 months and my sister didn't until she was 18 months so I have blamed her genes.

Well done to small oliveoil. I remember those first steps so well. Dp and I nearly fell over when dd suddenly shot across the room. Dd of course did fall over. But within days she was zipping round like a loony.

Galaxy, I didn't walk until I was 2 and my parents were beginning to go out of their minds with worry!

Just seen this thread - she'll be chasing after you for your monster munch now!

OO how exciting! There will be no stopping her now!

I am trying to teach DD (18 months) to jump at the moment which, as you can imagine, is v funny indeed! She sort of looks like an even camper wayne Sleep (is that his name?) trying to do some odd fairy dance thing! Nothing like a jump!
