The problem of dd2's messy bedroom has been solved in an unexpected way...

Dd2 decided to turn her room into a library (I'm obviously a very positive role model ), and enlisted dd1 as her assistant librarian. Of course, a library has to be tidy at all times so that people can see the books! She is so motivated to keep it looking good and all I have to do in return is borrow some books (I returned one late though and got fined, lmao )

We have made posters, had promotional "genre of the week" displays, and they have now set up a childcare facility (payment of £1 per hour in the form of 2 50p's so they get one each!). It's kept them going all holiday so far ... and the room is still tidy!!!

When DD was smaller she had a toy till - but to her the best bit was the 'beeper' which was not for groceries but for scanning book barcodes and date stamping them.

Her addiction to libraries may be going to far - she named one of our bantams after the librarian who does storytime!

That's lovely (could you send them round to my DD's room)
