11yr old DS - what is yours like? Mine is Jekyll/Hyde at the moment

I post about my DS in regular intervals, we are currently in Florida, coming home today. We have had the first two weeks of the school holidays and I can honestly say I don't know how I'll cope with him for the next 7 weeks at home.

He seems to have this Jekyll and Hyde character you never know if he's going to be nice or rude and sarcastic. If he doesn't get his own way he refuses to move.

He doesn't want to wash, brush his teeth, he leaves the toilet seat dirty with wee and says there was no toilet paper that's why he didnt wipe it (paper was on his bed). He wont eat what he's given and just holds out for junk.

He whinges and whines about just about every single thing you can think of. If it doesn't suit him he doesn't want to do it. We'll go to a theme park and if the ride is too long he whines, he whines for ice cream, just about everything.

He will argue the toss until he is blue in the face.

I had a go at DH part way through the holiday as DS spoke to him like dirt and he just ignored him so he has been better at giving him sanctions.

I smacked him yesterday after he waded in 6" high water at a water park in his brand new trainers and DH then had a go at me.

He doesn't like change to his routine so I did wonder if he is mildly autistic (at least I could blame something else rather than him). But he doesn't show any other characteristics. He makes friends easily and sleeps well.

He is given sanctions like having his PS2 taken away and told he can't watch TV but he doesn't seem bothered. He doesn't get pocket money.

What do I do with him? I'm seriously thinking about boarding him in September!!!!!!!!!

He's just got out of bed, nice and pie, smily face, he's gone for some breakfast it's just after 9.30am here. I'll see how long it takes for it to go downhill.
