Reflux in itself is enough of a reason for a baby to cry all the time as it can be very uncomfortable/painful for them - it's like having constant heartburn and can cause inflammation of the oesophagus so even feeding can be uncomfortable.

They are often only 'happy' when being held up against you because in that position they are less likely to bring up any milk than when laying down.

Is she on medication for it?

You can also try to put the head end of the cot/basket legs up on some books so her head is a bit higher than her stomach when sleeping. Also laying her on her left side can help minimise reflux because of where the oesophagus is located. Also try to keep her upright for at least half an hour after each feed to give the milk a chance to pass through her stomach.

Have you considered trying a sling? Means you can hold her upright but have hands free.

I echo what Greta says.
Reflux is awful for them and is enough in itself to cause the crying.
Same advice too really, keep upright after feeds, prop up the cot/basket. Slings work for lots of babies (my ds hated that too)!!
It also might be worth going back to the doctors. It took a while to get the medication right for ds and even then we had to keep going back as he grew to get the dose adjusted.
