I think she may well be, she certainly has a very observant and imaginative eye doesn't she! Encourage it as much as you can and see where it takes her!

dd does this - its good fun. She's very keen on shapes, has seen them and pointed them out in everything from satsuma slices (fireman's hat) to cornices (triangles) since she could talk. Her latest was a pee in her potty (hot air balloon, and it really did look like one!)

That said, she's not keen on drawing or colouring, hates jigsaws, and never did like shape sorters....so, creative? who knows. Bit early to tell at 2.5, probably. How old is your dd Hermykne?

My dd, nearly 4, also does this. I can't always see what she can but I can see how she sees it if that makes sense. Since she's become more interested in writing and letters she now often sees letters and numbers here and there. i think it's amazing, really lovely. Does your dd like drawing and painting? Mine would happily do it all afternoon.

I was like this as a kid - still am, really. Once I could read, I used to sit on benches while waiting for trains, buses, looking at signs and grouping the letters into twos, threes, etc. And saw pictures in clouds, pavements - like your dd.

I became really artistic - I remember Dad teaching me to draw in perspective (very basically!) when I was five. I was arty through school, and read architecture at university. Before ds (just 2) was born, my focus was singing and songwriting. The art and music are a bit on hold these days, but one day I hope to get more creative again, when ds's older.

I couldn't be sure, but my guess would be that your dd will probably be quite imaginative and creative.

elibean shes 4 early octobr. thats imaginative - pee / hot air balloon!
she loves drawing imaginary friend!
and is quite good with pencil control and coluring between or in the lines. she gets jigsaws done very quickly, now when i think about it those intial ones, shaper sorters, were done quite easily.

thanks for comments
