.........almost crawling?

Cos I have no idea. DD1 has special needs and at 4.5 still can't wlk so DD2's developments are surprising me ike ypu've never.

She's very nearly 6 months exactly and for the hole of this week she has been up on all fours, in proper crawling position She rocks back and forth and today she was moving her leg in and then she'd topple over. Gt up, start again.

She seems really, really small.
She's teeny. She looks far too small to be trying to crawl.

yes. dd2 was crawling at around 6months, walked at 10months.

i was shocked as dd1 didnt crawled till 9months and walked at 17months.

Think so. Not sure. DD1 wasn't rolling at that age, but other babies in the antenatal group were doing all sorts of madly athletic things. Can't remember with DD2 Blush

Yep, can be. She was nearly there when I saw her last - moved all over that rug in the garden!

She'll be off any moment, I bet Smile

(Must see you soon - DS2 is missing his girlfriend Wink Grin)

yes - dd2 crawled at 5 months - different from dd1
was shocked as she was so little too
you'll get lots of comments about it I'm sure!

It's just so weird. i guess I'll start getting freaked out by DD2 and her developments now she has reached this stge and it'll all just be normal stuff! I quite like this non-special needs stuff. They just do things don't they, without years of therapy to get them there and 55 people involved in helping etc. It freaks me out how easy it is when you have 1 less chromosome! Mad!

hana - 5 months, woow, that must have looked so funny.
It just seems so yoing. She still looks like a newborn. Not to anyone else I'm sure, but she does to me!

Think they all do it at their own rate my dd was 6 months then walked at 14 months byu friends ds never crawled and walked at 9 months, they all do it at different times when they are really.

Oh my GOD!
That would be mad. If my DD2 walked before a year and my nearly 5 yr old was still crawling and bum shuffling!

Yes, DS started his own version of crawling (to start with it involved getting up on all fours, crawling his legs forward, not being able to work out what to do with his arms and eventually just collapsing them down thus propelling his front half forward before getting back up on all fours and starting again with the legs) at a little over 5 months and was doing a pretty good classic crawl by 6 months. He walked at 9.5 months too so you may have an early walker on your hands if she keeps this up (and what fun that is...)

Yes TC - ds did this at that age. Started crawling at 7 months :)

tc - you always manage to be funny about things and be positive - enjoy the extra chromosome ( so to speak!)
dd2 is still diddy, looks much younger than she is and people credit her for doing things she 'shouldn't' be doing yet!

my dd (8 months) started crawling last wednesday, a week later she started standing up with the aid of the baby box. today, she has gone a few steps with her trundle truck! it's all gone so fast. your little one will be away in no time thomcat. my dd rocked for about 4-5 days before she was off. no stopping her now! the look on their face when they do something new is soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo amazing!
did everyone get how amazing i think it is? ha ha Grin

That rocking thing... well it just ROCKS doesn't it.
Ohhhhh not knocking anything about Lottie here but wow, it's great to sit back and watch how kids without special needs just do stuff, on their own. I'm loving it. It's also making me love that little Lottie even more, if that's pssoble. that little angel has had to struggle so much and here's pickle no 2 just getting it, on her own, after only 6 months. It really makes me appreciate jow lucky i am to know both sides.

Totally normal TC. dd was sitting unsupported at 5mths up walking around furniture at 5.5mths and was comando crawling backwards at this age as well.
Some kids are just active, dd still active, can climb anything, very co-ordinated etc.
ds 5.5mths just sitting unsupported, but starting to really try to crawl, probably comando style first by the look of it.
