mealtime barbarians

ok all you relaxed mums with well-behaved kids at mealtimes... how do you do it? my two boys (5 + 2) poke each other, mess about, make mess, egg each other on to naughtiness, eat with fingers and cause chaos, and it's getting worse...

removing food, saying no pudding, naughty step etc just don't work... star chart didn't do much good either..

my mum would have smacked them, but times have moved on.....

I am dreading going on holiday where they will have to eat meals in restaurants with relatives... maybe I could tie them up?!
