Youngest not staying in bed

just a rant, really. My youngest (nearly 4) has always been pretty good at staying put once he's put to bed, but the past couple of nights, he's started pinging out of bed repeatedly. I have been through this with other DC before and cracked it, but I am actually crying about this. I need to have that time after 7pm as I am fit to drop by then, and he is a big strong wilful lad. I spend most of each day just staggering through until 7pm when I can finally sit down for a bit (I have chronic knee problems which are really painful, too).

I can hear him farting about on the landing hitting the banisters with something & I can't find it in me to go upstairs and deal with it calmly.

man it's hard sometimes. And breathe.
