7 month old feeding too frequently?

Hi there,
7mo dd is a very active baby- never still, but I still worry about the frequency of her feeding. Our routine goes something like this:

6am wake 6oz formula bottle
8am half a small pot of porridge
9am 6oz bottle
12 about 10 spoons of veg dolled by 6pz bottle
3pm puréed fruit & 6 oz bottle
6pm 8oz bottle

She naps for 2/3 hours during day & sleeps 6-6 at night, but always hungry 3 hourly!!
I guess it's just her way, am I right? X
She sleeps 6pm-6am and naps twice daily for a total of 2/3 h

Sounds about right to me, she may drink less milk as she eats more solids, milk should be there main source of nutrition until they are one Smile

Yes ds fed two to three hourly until 7 or 8 months when the solids really started to kick in.

Is there any reason she is only having puréed fruit and veg? You might find protein helps to fill her up a little better. If you want to do purees have a try of something like this. There are some breakfast ideas for a 7 month old you might like on this thread.

I'd be tempted to start offering some finger foods with her meals too Smile

No such thing, they self regulate at that age! It doesn't sound loads and if she is active and you feed her healthy food as described above she'll be fine.

If she's sleeping 6-6 I wouldn't change a thing! (though yes it probably is worth introducing protein)

Agree that they do self regulate and she is obviously getting everything she needs. My post was just curiosity really as to what the reason is behind the fruit and veg purees Smile

at that age your lo could be having more complex carbohydrates (pasta, rice, etc), meats and dairy products which may help fill her up a bit more. There is no need to only limit to fruit and veg as they arent very calorific.
