Is this likely to be teething?

May be stupidly obvious it is but wanted to check.

DS is 13 weeks, he's always liked chewing his/my hands but is at it constantly now and he bites down really hard. He's started dribbling and blowing bubbles. There's not raised lumps but some bits of his gum are firmer than others.

Tonight I put him down in his basket and he was fine for about 20 mins and then he started to scream (really unusual for him). He was hysterical; high pitched cry and gasping for breath. I couldn't calm him for ~30 mins and he was getting hot.

I gave him calpol and a cold bottle teat and he stopped immediately. 10 minutes later he had awful diahrroea.

Does this sound like he's teething or is it more likely that it actually was an upset stomach?

Sounds very much like teething to me.

He could also have a temperature too. My DS started showing signs of teething around 16 weeks but didn't cut it until around 20 weeks or so.
