Specially made shoes

My ds was recently assessed by a physio therapist and she has referred him to an orthopeadic doctor for special shoes to stop his feet turning inwards.

Will he need to wear these shoes at all times? Even at home? He is usually bare footed at home.

If your child has these shoes, how did they get on with them?

And most importantly, did they work?

TIA

Hi my dd wore Piedro boots to support her ankles as her ankle joints were so flexible they bent at really weird angles. She wore the boots a lot to begin with, but not all the time. As her muscles have become stronger she has found it easier and easier to walk without the support, although she can only walk on sand with shoes on.

Now she wears shoes bought from a normal high street shop as her Piedros are too small and she seems to manage fine without them. However we will see physio next week and see if anything further is needed or if we can think about being signed off!
