2.5 DS pooing at 4.30am and then awake...

Help! My DS has always been a very early waker (5am) and generally has a dirty nappy when I get him up, but for the last 10 days he has starting pooing around 4am and not at all in the day.

So now he is waking at this time every single day for a poo, and I just don't know what to do to switch his body's pattern.

More fruit? Potty training? Prune juice?!

Any advice much appreciated because this is now becoming chronic in terms of sleep deprivation!

xx

Poor both of you!

I wonder if making him slightly constipated so it takes a little effort would stop it? Less fruit more bananas, bread etc? Maybe after doing it for a few days or so and going back to normal might change the poo routine?

Thanks so much, I've tried the opposite! No doubt it will go wrong, but I've given him loads more fruit and water today. He did squeeze a little one at after his nap, so fingers crossed.

They don't have a section for this in the baby books, do they?! Xx

They really should! I had to give DS prunes etc at one point cause he was pooing at 8.30 and would not go to bed before he pooped!

Like he done tonight and last night arg! Comes alive afterwards as well!

Better to delay the poo I'd say for your DS though so he goes later not earlier!

Well, we had two poos in the day and he still woke at 4.30am again today. All I can think to do is crack on with potty training at the weekend and see if that switches the times around a bit. Not sure what else to do!
