21 month old DS throwing food

Has anyone got any good ways of stopping DS from throwing food? He is an extremely fussy eater and has been since about a year old. He only eats a few different meals but even if I give him what he likes he still throws it. This can be on the floor, at me or anywhere. I've tried telling him off, ignoring him, removing the rest of the food and not giving him anything else. None of these things seem to bother him at all. He's a very willful boy and I have quite a few behaviour concerns but one thing at a time!

Like all phases it will pass! although it is really annoying when it is happening-my 18 month old dd has just started to do it-egged on by ds aged 4 who thinks it is hillarious.
I just take the food away every time-they eventually get the message!

Hi is it only food he throws? Might not be a food problem. If he is throwing other things then he is playing a game called trojectory(spelling?). My dd did this and I used to take he outside for some 'legal throwing' Soft balls etc so he can play the game at appropriate times. Dont know if this will help.

I tried to persuade my lo not to throw food and if he really doesn't want it I would prefer that he handed it back to me. Is getting the idea. Slowly.

I think it is a phase that they go through.

We went through this. They give up eventually. Used to drive me up the wall though.

He does like throwing other things as well, particularly at people! Food is the main problem though.
