DD wont have anything in her hair!

My DD (19 months) has gorgeous long blond hair. She wont keep still to have it cut so I only manage to trim her fringe, very wonky! I want to put clips in her hair or put it up but she hates anything put in it to the point she screams and crys and becomes very clingy.
Anyone have something similar with their DD and any advice?
Think she'll just have to look scruffy for a while Sad

I have a similar 21m old. She's got straight blonde hair and I did manage to cut the wispy bits off the ends in the bath last night so it looks like a vaguely tidy bob with a slightly wonky fringe. It doesn't help that she has more hair on one side of her head than the other either Grin. She brings me her sister's clips and bands but as soon as I put them in she pulls them out. No advice I'm afraid just sympathy.

I don't see how it matters what a 19 month old looks like.

my dd was like this. she is now 23mths and is good at having stuff in her hair, nit clips as she pulls them out buy bobbles are fine. i sit her on my lap and put peppa pig on or give her a snack.

shr has realised i think that having her hair up means it doesnt go in her face so she brings me her bobbles :)

my DD has always been like this. she is 6 and mostly wears he hair out.

She had her hair cut to shoulder length recently so it isnt as bad now but when she had long hair it was a nightmare battle to do her hair all the time.

now that she is getting older she likes to have her hair up sometimes but only if she does it not meHmm dont worry about it...choose your battles i say...

My 20 mo is similar. Her fringe is just sitting on her eyelashes and it must annoy her but so do my attempts to help... I've started having some success with clips by letting her see me putting some in my hair and making out like it's the BEST THING EVER :)

Try to find a children's hairdresser. One I went to put Peppa Pig on a little TV right in front of a high chair. dd2 barely noticed her hair being cut, only when the hairdresser's hand was in front of her face to get at her fringe.

I cut both my DCs hair - just get a pair of proper hairdressers' scissors. I do a snip now and then, so a haircut can take a couple of days but that way it's a non-issue.

Dd is 2.8 and will now wear clips in her hair and have pigtails or a ponytail. She usually takes them out before the end of the day though. He hair is dead straight, white blonde and grows forward from the crown. It seems to be sort of having a natural parting on the left side but a natural fringe. She desperately needs a trim as her fringe is hanging in her eyes so I clip it back if I can. My friend does her hair, it takes about 5 minutes! There is no way to persuade her to have clips etc but I suspect she will agree in time!

Thanks for the helpful comments,
MummyPig24 - my DD's hair sounds the same and your DD's - it is beautiful Grin
Will just keep trimming it so will be wonky for a while but hey ho, one day she will keep still for a nice haircut! Smile
