hi everyone, i have a son of 9, he used to go to sleep without any problems, but the last three weeks he crys and says its too hard he cant go to sleep, i am five months pregnant nearly and I have to sit with him til he falls asleep. its very tyring and draining for me, he sleeps in a room with his younger brother, i do not want him to wake him.

can you suggest anything????

Can you get a small reading light and some nice books for him to read quietly until he falls asleep? No tv/screen time for half an hour before bed, as it's quite stimulating.

Is he worried about the new baby?

I think if you relax, then he will, too. But I wouldn't sit with him until he falls asleep, you need your rest!
All children go through different phases with sleep. Tell him it's bed time. He doesn't HAVE to go to sleep but he must go to bed, and he must read quietly and not wake his brother.
As the saying goes, You can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink..!!
