Behaviour/development

Why on earth do I bother and then be subjected to this behaviour.

DD`(7) has been to casualty this morning to have her arm checked, and as she had been good at hospital and I have been feeling a bit down etc, I decided we would all go
to brewsters for something to eat.

What a mistake that was, from the minute she got in, she was picking her little sister (3) up and sitting her on the window ledge, when I went to get a drink I asked her to sit quietly with her sister whilst I came back, next thing I knew she was running past me to the other side of the pub.

They both refused to eat their dinners, I told them in no uncertain terms if they didn't eat it they wouldn't go in the play area, dd1 just laughed and said she would.

Hence after 1/2 hour of her saying she hates me, I'm a nasty, horrible, ugly, fat mummy, we are at home and she is banging about in her bedroom.
They did not go in the play area.

It always seems to me that I decide to treat them and do something nice and it gets thrown back in my face.
