And insists on wearing htem at all times. Nursery have to hide them in various places and when we are at home she toddles off to find her shoes and brings them to us to put on. With her coat, she stands under the coat hooks and bellows until one of us passes it down.

Very odd! Anyone else had this?

lol, my 3.5 yo got very attached to his wellies, kept putting them on and heading out the door. I have no idea why they do it!

my dd (19mo) is doing this atm. She's a proper girly girl, loves shoes, hats, bags etc! She's always getting dressed up to go out. She loves wearing my shoes too.

Ds still does this occqasionally. I have always thought it is their way of dropping a hint... "I want to go out!"

DD1 (almost 3) loves shoes, I once found her standing really quietly in the living room, just standing, as I was chatting away to her, I noticed that her answers were strangely short (not like dd1 at all, why use one word if you can use a hundred instead). Upon closer inspection I realised she was wearing my knee length boots, and hoping I wouldn't notice....!!! dd2 18months, likes shoes too, but will only wear dd1's, they both love bags as well, and I have to hide my handbag otherwise they end up emptying it.....and fighting over the contents eg who gets to eat mummy's book, lip balm etc.

Hmm, mine (dd 2.1)is mostly very UNattached to her coat these days - but very attached to her wellies, which I wish she wasn't because I forget to either clean or hide them, and we end up with welly-mud on the carpet, sofa, bed...
Anything of mine is worn with pride, Daddy's worn with giggles

Colditz I think you're probably right but she does it at 8am on a Saturday when I'm not really awake yet so she's out of luck! Mummy doesn't do going out at the weekend until after the second cup of coffee

DS is developing a similiar attachment to his wellies. Very bizarre!

My dd wore her hat to bed last night . She is absolutely fixated with hats at the moment. If we see anyone in the street, or in a photograph or picture wearing a hat, she starts tapping her head and shouting until you comment on it! She's 15 months old, so it's obviously a stage our children are all going through!
