Egg yolk fell in batch of royal icing....

Still looks white. Have used it anyway. What are the consequences of this??? Will we all get salmonella? It's the FIFTH cake I've iced today. TBH I'm past caring......

Eggs in this country are all checked for salmonella and declared free anyway. The chances of you getting it from 1 raw egg are teeny tiny! xxx

Phew. Anyway there are many other strains of bacteria in my home. We are all fairly robust! xx

I am definitely a 'if it's not mouldy, then it's fine. If it's mouldy, cut the mould off and it's still fine' kind of cook. And I never get ill! xxx
