German roggenmischbrot recipe needed please!

My OH is german and has been bemoaning the lack of decent German bread for years.
We currently order ours from German Deli online, but it's a whopping 1kg loaf that doesn't freeze well and too big for the 3 of us to use up in a week.
Has anyone ever made an authentic roggenmischbrot (which by my understanding is a wheat/rye mix of about 50/50 or 60/40 rye/wheat and without too much extra crap, mainly only water, flours, active yeast and a little salt)?
Ideally quantity for a 500g loaf would be ideal.
I don't have a bread machine so if your recipe is simplicity itself and doesn't involve 3 risings and kneadings, then I'd been even more grateful smile
