Do you know many (if any[!]) babies named Elizabeth, Rebecca or Victoria?

bundaberg Thu 24-Oct-13 22:58:10

i know 2 baby Elizabeths

notanyanymore Thu 24-Oct-13 22:58:19

I know one Victoria that's about 2, and 1 Rebecca and 1 Elizabeth but they are both a little older and go by nicknames, does that count?

JollyScaryGiant Thu 24-Oct-13 22:59:34

My 9 week old is Rebecca smile

CallMeNancy Thu 24-Oct-13 22:59:53

No

I know (of,collegue's dd) a baby Elizabeth who is 6 days old.

One Elizabeth nn Libby, though she is now entering toddlerdom.

Iwaswatchingthat Thu 24-Oct-13 23:02:33

I wish we had called dd Rebecca now. Such a beautiful name. It is her middle name though.

I know and Elizabeth and a Rebecca. Both lovely names with good nn too.

Iwaswatchingthat Thu 24-Oct-13 23:03:34

Oh and I know several young Elizabeths, but not a single Victoria.

hellyfucker Thu 24-Oct-13 23:04:05

I know two 8 year old Rebeccas (it has always been slightly more popular in Wales than England, although one of the ones I know is English) And one 13 year old Libby.

Bunbaker Thu 24-Oct-13 23:04:33

I don't know any babies with those names, but they are lovely names. One of them is my daughter's middle name, one is the name of one of her friends and one is the name of a controlling bully at her school.

I don't get this MN obsession with nicknames though.

hoppinghare Thu 24-Oct-13 23:05:57

I have a baby Elizabeth. I don't know any baby Rebecca's or baby victorias but I do know 2 reception age Rebecca's.

Ilovemydogandmydoglovesme Thu 24-Oct-13 23:18:58

I had a baby Elizabeth. She is now a beautiful six year old Elizabeth. smile

She has a friend called Rebecca.

magicscares Thu 24-Oct-13 23:21:36

I know of a toddler Elizabeth.

emmyloo2 Fri 25-Oct-13 04:43:28

I know of one Rebecca who is 2. I know quite a few baby Elizabeths and my own 5 month old is Victoria. We were really torn between Elizabeth and Victoria at one point and went with Victoria because I didn't know any young Victorias whereas I know quite a few Elizabeths under 2.

I do love Elizabeth though.

Confitdecanard Fri 25-Oct-13 05:09:25

I know a few Elizabeths too. Mostly go by a nickname (Lizzie, Beth). None of the other two.

Lubiloo Fri 25-Oct-13 06:44:07

I too know 2 little Elisabeths so it seems fairly common.
I only know a 5 year old Rebecca.
Love Victoria and don't know any little ones.
The best objective measure of popularity is the government ons list of the past years girls names.

kelda Fri 25-Oct-13 06:48:06

I know children under the age of five with all those names but they are not especially common.

CruCru Fri 25-Oct-13 09:12:02

I know a few Elizabeths.

noodlebum Fri 25-Oct-13 09:18:23

I don't know any below the age of 21!

Mim78 Fri 25-Oct-13 09:25:28

I know a baby Elizabeth known as Betsie. It is a lovely name IMO.

They are all nice classy names. I know a little Charlotte too and it really stands out as a classic name and not one of the Tilly, Lilly, Milly brigade.

NewbieMcNewbie Fri 25-Oct-13 21:07:56

I know a three year old Victoria but she's Polish and I think the spelling f is different.

I know lots with Elizabeth as their middle name, usually where it was the mother's mn too.

The youngest Rebecca I know is 8.

nevergoogle Fri 25-Oct-13 21:09:45

i know 3 sisters called this, but not babies.

SecretWitch Fri 25-Oct-13 21:09:48

Victoria is a well loved family name. Several relatives young and old have the name.

NachoAddict Fri 25-Oct-13 22:07:54

Dsd is an Elizabeth nn Ellie, Elizabeth is a beautiful name, I wouldn't have chosen that shortening because it is a very popular name here.

mewkins Fri 25-Oct-13 22:13:17

I have a 3yo Elizabeth. Know only one other who is 2yo and goes by a different shortening. I don't know any Victoria's under 30 and no Rebecca's under 40!

beanandspud Sat 26-Oct-13 21:05:45

I know a couple of Elizabeths (one known as Beth). If DS had been a DD she would have been Rebecca.

DeputyDeputyChiefOfStaff Sat 26-Oct-13 22:10:36

I know three young Elizabeths, and several Rebecca/Rebekahs. No Victorias though.

ThoughSheBeButLittleSheBeFierc Sat 26-Oct-13 22:22:55

I don't know anyone under 18 with any of these names. I know a Betsy and an Elsie but am pretty sure it's just Betsy and Elsie and they are not Elizabeths. We used Elizabeth as DD's middle name and I wish I had saved it for a dd2.

toobreathless Sun 27-Oct-13 01:35:09

Two young Elizabeth's one aged 4, one a few weeks old.

No Rebeccas or Victorias

feelingvunerable Sun 27-Oct-13 10:11:06

All 3 are lovely names.
I think Victoria is the least common.

MortifiedAnyFuckerAdams Sun 27-Oct-13 10:17:46

I know one baby Elizabeth.

I have Rebecca on my list for a potential dd2.

I really dont like Victoria as I am yet to neet a nice one.

MortifiedAnyFuckerAdams Sun 27-Oct-13 16:56:16

DD middle name is Rebecca, I know of a baby Elizabeth, think there have been a few more Elizabeth's lately due to the queens jubilee, strangely not so many George's tho hmm

RobinSparkles Sun 27-Oct-13 17:28:09

I don't know any baby Elizabeths or any baby Rebeccas.

elfycat Tue 29-Oct-13 19:36:17

DD2, who is 3 next month, is a Rebecca.

I don't know any younger Victorias or Elizabeths.

RobinVanPrissy Wed 30-Oct-13 08:44:21

I know tow baby and one toddler Elizabeths.

No Victorias or Rebeccas under about 25 yrs old, though!

brimfullofasha Wed 30-Oct-13 09:23:51

I know a baby Victoria and a toddler Elizabeth

PinkParsnips Wed 30-Oct-13 14:06:07

No although my friend nearly used Elizabeth and I hear it often as a middle name.

I think Rebecca is nice and not as dated as the other two.

ZingWantsCake Wed 30-Oct-13 14:11:23

dated?
pink take it back or else...

<shakes fists>

grin

Hettyjones Wed 30-Oct-13 17:36:36

Lots of Elizabeths. No Victorias. No baby Rebeccas but lots at school between age 6-10. Strangely, 3 have sisters called Jessica so they must be seen to go together somehow.

PinkParsnips Wed 30-Oct-13 17:46:00

Eek sorry I didnt read the replies!! blush

Traditional, that's a better word!! They are still lovely names though! grin

ZingWantsCake Wed 30-Oct-13 18:32:37

<rest s fists on lap>

thanks pink
that's better!wink grin grin grin grin

Lancelottie Wed 30-Oct-13 18:39:44

Round here, we know so many Rebeccas i'm starting to think it's the default name for little sisters.

Can offer you three young Elizabeths and one 12-yr-old Victoria.

Mind you, this school has quite a few Simons, Pauls, Ians, Rachels and Claires.

scaryg Wed 30-Oct-13 18:45:12

My 22m DD is Rebecca Anthea. Don't know any other children by those names.
