Which do you prefer and why??? smile TIA

TheFallenNinja Sun 15-Sep-13 04:03:56

Neither, they both sound like cars.

Secretswitch Sun 15-Sep-13 04:05:59

I like Cassia Primrose...not a huge fan of Juno. I do love Violet as I have a great Auntie by that name...

FingersCrossedLegsNot Sun 15-Sep-13 04:07:36

Well I would love to drive a car with such fantastic names wink

FixItUpChappie Sun 15-Sep-13 04:35:13

Cassia is beautiful

TheFallenNinja Sun 15-Sep-13 07:10:58

Cassia Primrose 16v Turbo has a nice ring smile

I love both but prefer Cassia Primrose because in my mind it is really pretty colours (have that word=colour thing, sorry!) and also very unusual.

I think Juno is becoming very trendy and so is Violet and though they are beautiful separately and together, I still think the other name is just stunning, and no one will be able to roll their eyes and say 'not another one!'

Also primroses are beautiful.
I think you could do worse than wait till you meet her and see which she suits best. Juno is a darker haired child to me. Cassia is very fair and light.

rachel234 Sun 15-Sep-13 07:31:48

Love Cassia! Elegant, feminine and not overused.

Juno sounds masculine, sorry.

topicsactiveimon Sun 15-Sep-13 07:38:56

Love Cassia & Violet & really like Juno, too. Not keen on Primrose at all - it's the word 'prim' - just ruins Rose for me.

So... Cassia Rose?

Cassia Violet, sounds better to my ears.

perplexedpirate Sun 15-Sep-13 07:47:14

Cassia Violet.
Primrose is horrible and reminds me of Dr Shipman's wife (sorry). sad

Juno violet.

It's just lovely smile

charleslingus Sun 15-Sep-13 08:18:03

Another vote for juno violet, it's gorgeous.

HappyJustToBe Sun 15-Sep-13 08:21:24

I like Juno Violet more. Cassia Primrose doesn't flow as well for me.

thoughtsbecomethings Sun 15-Sep-13 08:25:21

Love primrosesmile

Saffyz Sun 15-Sep-13 09:55:56

Cassia Violet

Saffyz Sun 15-Sep-13 09:56:43

I'd pronounce it "Cassia", definitely not Casha.

Saffyz Sun 15-Sep-13 09:57:07

I meant I would pronounce it Cass-ee-a

FingersCrossedLegsNot Sun 15-Sep-13 11:56:13

Thanks for the responses so far smile Saffyz yes it would be pronounced Cass ee ah.

LittlePandaBear Sun 15-Sep-13 15:26:47

I think Cassia is pretty.

I like the name Violet but when written down it's too close to Violent for me. And mixed with Juno I could read it as Judo and it's Judo Violent.

I accept that it's how my strange mind works and no one else may make that connection so feel free to ignore me!

I love all of those, especially Primrose, but I'm biased because I have a Primrose! Named after her great Grandma smile

Alisvolatpropiis Sun 15-Sep-13 15:34:09

Cassia Primrose/Violet.

Not Juno.

Rhubarbgarden Sun 15-Sep-13 17:28:53

I love Primrose and Violet. Juno is ok.

Dislike Cassia because it makes me think of cassowaries. I know that's a bit ridiculous.

SelectAUserName Sun 15-Sep-13 17:47:23

"Juno Violet?"

"Yes, she lives in the old people's home on the corner."

Sorry OP, but that's my abiding problem with the name Juno when spoken aloud - it sounds a bit like "d'you know...?"

I like the suggestion of Cassia Rose upthread, that's a really pretty name.

Alisvolatpropiis Sun 15-Sep-13 17:48:01

What are cassowaries Rhubarb?

BlackMogul Sun 15-Sep-13 18:13:32

If you cannot choose, go for all four. Why not? Boys have four names. My mum has four names, including Primrose. She was baptised on Primrose Day.

ELR Sun 15-Sep-13 18:19:32

Cassia Rose or Cassia Violet, don't like primrose and i think Juno is a harsh name.

lljkk Sun 15-Sep-13 18:30:56

Cassia is a yam eaten in Africa, or is it Cassova? I like Violet.

FingersCrossedLegsNot Sun 15-Sep-13 18:43:33

Cassia is a spice similar to cinnamon (I'm not sure re the yam thing, but it doesn't bother me tbh)

For those who don't like Primrose with Cassia how about Cassia Peaches... For some reason I really like a middle name beginning with P to go with Cassia. However Boris Johnson has a dd called Cassia Peaches, I don't want it to seem like I'm copying. I'm in Ireland so I'm not sure how many people would make the association. It is a little out there but I like going a little crazy with middle names.....really living on the edge you know wink

sleepingbeautiful Sun 15-Sep-13 21:41:17

I really like Cassia. Juno to me is meh and very 'now'.
Cassia Primrose is better than Cassia Peaches, which sounds like a cartoon character.
How about
Cassia Pearl
Cassia Peony
Cassia Paloma
Cassia Posy
Cassia Persephone

FingersCrossedLegsNot Sun 15-Sep-13 22:30:59

Oooh Cassia Pearl is gorgeous.....why didn't I think of that?!

MintyDiamonds Sun 15-Sep-13 22:40:50

I love Juno, but prefer the middle name Primrose. If you go for Cassia (which is also nice) I like the surname Pearl.

bundaberg Sun 15-Sep-13 22:45:29

Juno Violet

i don't know why, just don't like Cassia that much

Floggingmolly Sun 15-Sep-13 22:48:25

Absolutely dreadful.

LondonNinja Sun 15-Sep-13 22:51:15

Not Juno.

Alisvolatpropiis Sun 15-Sep-13 22:54:59

Yy Cassia Pearl is gorgeous.

10/10for poster who suggested that <too lazy to look back through thread>

Viviennemary Sun 15-Sep-13 23:30:12

Cassia Primrose is awful. And so is Juno Violet. However, I like the name Violet but not teamed with Juno. Cassia is not to my taste but it's fine but not with Primrose.

Alisvolatpropiis Sun 15-Sep-13 23:52:06

I can't get passed the name Juno sounding like a a question.

"D'know Emily Smith" etc

Saffyz Mon 16-Sep-13 01:22:05

Cassia Peaches sounds like a recipe, sorry!

Scarletohello Mon 16-Sep-13 01:30:40

Peach Melba?

Cassia Violet.

Lovely names.

LeoandBoosmum Mon 16-Sep-13 01:48:35

Neither for me, sorry. The only name I like out of those is Violet.

FingersCrossedLegsNot Mon 16-Sep-13 18:04:35

I think myself and dh prefer Cassia Primrose, and even though there has been a mixed bag of comments it's not putting me off.

I think it is unusual, edgy and pretty with a little bit of quirky-ness added, which is exactly what we are looking for. I think it must be a good sign that none of the negative comments are quelling my love of the name or the combination. Thanks for your help! grin

ELR Mon 16-Sep-13 18:27:21

fingers that's always the best marker if others knock it but you still love it, it's def the name for you! Stick to your guns it's your dd after all!

janey68 Mon 16-Sep-13 21:04:57

Cassia Rose or Cassia Violet.

Juno isn't nearly as pretty, cool or classy

FingersCrossedLegsNot Mon 16-Sep-13 22:02:02

Violet is definitely a possibility as a middle name with Cassia, I just have Primrose stuck in my head.

schplappo Wed 18-Sep-13 01:45:12

Juno Violet. Definitely.
