Suggestions for an 'out there' middle names for DS2

DS1 has one 'normal' middle name and one that we consider a bit bonkers but love - Caradoc. DS2 is on the way and we don't want him to feel left out so want an equally 'different' name for his second middle name. We're stuggling this time to come up with something. Luxton was one we were thinking of (a family name from a few generations back). Do your worst and have some fun, I'm open to any ideas!

minipie Fri 23-Aug-13 09:58:18

Luxton is a good one I think. I offer you Griffin, Digby and Bryn - these are on my list of potential quirky middle names should we ever have a DS.

Curtain Fri 23-Aug-13 10:08:53

What about Mojo? I met someone with this middle name years ago and never forgot it!

Rhubarbgarden Fri 23-Aug-13 10:13:09

I love Bryn. I wouldn't consider it particularly out there though; I've known a couple of them over the years.

Danger?

My DH is very keen on Ludovic for some reason (man crush on Ludovic Kennedy I think). Valentine is his other fave. He has also suggested Tintin in the past.

He then dismisses Rupert as a total no-goer. No logic that man!

Bowlersarm Fri 23-Aug-13 14:05:53

None better than Luxton really.

Babouche Fri 23-Aug-13 14:07:10

Luxton is cool,go for it, especially if has family significance.
I bet you have some good first names in mind too..

My favourite suggestions are definitely Luxton and Danger.

niffernaffer Fri 23-Aug-13 19:37:35

'My middle name is Danger..' smooth.

pingulingo Fri 23-Aug-13 19:43:12

My DS very very nearly had danger as his 2nd middle name. I still kick myself for not using it in the end - the kid is totally fearless and it would have suited him perfectly

DS's middle name has been mentioned twice on this thread - can you guess it? Clue: it's in my user name.

pingu, "Danger is my second middle name" doesn't really have the same ring to it though, does it? grin

I knew a guy whose middle name was Rebel.

Luxton or Horatio are fab.

It's nice that you have a story attached to Luxton.

I once worked with someone who called their baby Flashman. I've never forgotten that.

LillyNotOfTheValley Tue 27-Aug-13 18:01:23

Oh, Caradoc is such a nice mn! <ready to hire you to name DC3>
I like Luxton too, especially if it has a family meaning.

For other ideas, I would look up a list of Arthurian characters. Gawain is awesome! Like Lancelot too.

ds3 has a Merlin and Griffin at his school. I think though it definitely has to be Lancelot to keep with the Arthurian theme.

NutellaStraightFromTheJar Wed 28-Aug-13 19:22:21

Jericho. It's my secret favourite boy name that I can't use because it's too out there for me. I have no idea why I love it so much!
