DH and I are finally down to our final shortlist for DC4, what do you think?

skyeskyeskye Sun 26-May-13 20:30:22

Annabel. Met a cute little 3 year old on holiday called that. Although I prefer Annabelle.

Love Eliza and Eloise the most.. probably wouldn't go for Ottilie but go for what you love yourself!

Layl77 Sun 26-May-13 20:35:39

All lovely,I find Eliza a bit harsher but love your names.

Nice shortlist. I like Annabel best (spelt that way), than Matilda, the Ottilie, the Elodie. Not keen on Jemima or Eloise. Indifferent to Eliza.

xigris Sun 26-May-13 20:56:07

Jemima. Beautiful, timeless and very under used (or is it underused? My brain is shocking these days) blush

Lebkuchenlover Sun 26-May-13 21:32:16

Love Jemima and Ottilie!

Beamur Sun 26-May-13 21:33:42

Eliza or Elodie
(But all your choices are nice)

everlong Sun 26-May-13 21:34:06

Love them all apart from Elodie and Eloise.

What about Harriet and Martha?

WilmaFingerdoo Sun 26-May-13 21:36:22

Annabel but then I have one so am biased.

Also like Jemima.

Ottilie. Thats an odd one. Sounds like a place name.

eatyourveg Sun 26-May-13 21:43:57

Eliza and Jemima - they are all nice but Annabel works better as a middle name whereas none of the others do

Elodie for me smile

Theselittlelightsofmine Sun 26-May-13 21:58:54

Eloise grin

Stupid phone changed it but you can guess which other name I like grin

PaperSeagull Sun 26-May-13 22:02:06

Love Eliza and Matilda.

I could never use Jemima because of the Aunt Jemima associations, but I imagine people in the UK generally don't have these associations.

Happymum22 Sun 26-May-13 22:02:36

Eliza - Don't like
Matilda - Love, popular at the moment if that bothers you
Eloise - OK
Annabel - OK
Jemima - Quite like, knew a Jemima at school and she was a huge teachers pet/goody goody from a very strict family (which puts me off it!!) but without that association, I do like it a lot.
Elodie - Quite like, bit different in a good way
Ottilie - OK

All nice but especially Eloise and Elodie.

All lovely. Matilda my least favourite.

Love Annabel. Was on my shortlist but had a boy.

I know a young Eloise. Is lovely.

HazleNutt Tue 28-May-13 10:20:38

Eloise or Elodie

Cheerymum Tue 28-May-13 10:22:40

All nice. Can't stop thinking Ottilie Bottilie but that's just me being childish. Annabel is my favourite x

MortifiedAdams Tue 28-May-13 10:28:11

Jemima or Matilda

OrangeFireandGoldashes Fri 31-May-13 07:29:29

Eliza, but I'm biased as it's a family name. Matilda and Jemima also pretty. Eloise is okay, not so keen on the others.

HystericalParoxysm Fri 31-May-13 08:26:18

Love Eliza, and Annabel. Did like Matilda but there are 4 in DS's nursery (out of 30!) so for me it's too popular now.

elsabel Fri 31-May-13 08:39:17

Eliza and Matilda win hands down for me

Wishfulmakeupping Fri 31-May-13 08:40:18

Annabel or Eliza both lovely

Elquota Fri 31-May-13 20:42:52

Annabel or Elodie, by far.

MrsEllsmore Fri 31-May-13 20:46:23

Eliza for me, very pretty and very classy. Does no one else just think of Jemima Puddle Duck from Beatrix Potter?

LemonBreeland Fri 31-May-13 21:00:11

I love Matilda, Annabel and Jemima. We used Annabel as a mn, DH completely vetoed Jemima sad , and Matilda was on our list.

Not so keen on the others.
