On the plus side we have a short list of boys names which are:
Henry
Hugo
Charles (Charlie)
Reginald (Reggie)

The problem is DP has crossed all my girl names off the list. We both like Arya but obviously the Aryan thing is a no no. He likes Shelby but I really don't.

Please give me some ideas. Last name is Castle. Current DCs are Lilly, Jack and Alexandra (Lexie)

Blimey, Shelby is awful! How about...
Anya
Mya
Nina
Nyla
Ariana
Ariella

Shelby was a character from Steel Magnolias -- has he watched it?!

At any rate, I think little Katy Castle is as good as it gets.

Shelby is horrible - I think it is a Barbie iirc. Don't like Arya.

Ariadne?

CheshireDing Sat 30-Mar-13 20:43:56

Ooh I like Felicity Castle, that sounds lovely.

Rosie is okay too.

Reginald and Shelby? hmm

Reginald is a family name. I'm not 100% but I love Reggie and its the least common of our boys list says the parent of Jack

Phoebe was on my list. Vetoed as DP is dyslexic and doesn't think he would be able to spell it sad

Francesca was also on the list. He just doesn't like it. I may have to ltb.

MortifiedAdams Sat 30-Mar-13 21:57:23

Susannah? Goes well with Lily and Alexandra I feel. You could shorten to Anna if you liked. Or how about Hannah?

Snazzynewyear Sat 30-Mar-13 23:02:00

I would have just said Anya but I would always try to have different first initials for siblings, especially for same-sex siblings.

cookielove Sat 30-Mar-13 23:04:16

I love Arya but then i am a GOT fan smile i don't make the link either.

abbyfromoz Sat 30-Mar-13 23:08:46

DD is Ariana... I also like Arya and Aryan.
One of those names is both of our middle names but don't want to out myself wink
Aurelia is on our list of top 3 names...
Actually we prefer Aureya as 'Aurelia' pronounced in English can sound a bit 'oral'...

Kyrptonite Sat 30-Mar-13 23:09:33

grin I had Eddard (Ned) on the boy list but it got vetoed and DP thought I was crazy. I love the name Arya and the character.

Elizabeth Castle - sounds ethereal and beautiful to me.
I definitely like the idea of a longer first name.
Love Francesca Castle

Rosebelle Sat 30-Mar-13 23:13:38

Jasmine?

Lily, Jack, Lexie and Jasmine?

(I do like the L,J,L,J pattern too!)

Rosebelle Sat 30-Mar-13 23:23:35

Also, for a boy from your list I like Henry. I think Charlie Castle sounds a bit naughty boy-ish. (sorry). as does Reggie Castle. (sorry). I like Hugo but don't think it goes with Castle as both are somewhat unusual and together they make a double unusual name. It sounds a bit like a stage name.

Violet
Marian(ne)
Amelia
Josephine
Elinor
