I have a Ben and a Reuben!

We really struggled the second time around for a nice boys name! On our short list, but didn't have the guts to use, was Torin, Leo and Vincent. I also really like Garth. Walked through our local cemetery a couple of days ago with the boys and noticed a name on a grave from a young man who died in 1919 (1WW maybe?), his name was Willder, which I love! Think you would pronounce it with the Will bit like William?

Happy name hunting!

Twinklestarstwinklestars Thu 28-Feb-13 07:33:04

I have a Thomas and and Oliver ( but we call him ollie most of the time) and if dc3 is a boy he will be Max, can't choose a girls name but boys was easy.

DeathMetalMum Thu 28-Feb-13 07:37:54

Jack/Harry - but wouldn't use as too popular.

All these names are lovely and much more varied than the popular top 50 names - I wonder whether the posters actually called their sons these names smile? I think they're all great!

rachel My son's is the name I posted, unfortunately DS and DD already have my all time favourite names, so not sure what to call the little one currently cooking in me, but getting some lovely inspiration if my bump turns out to be blue! smile

Aidan (my ds, named for St. Aidan who founded the monastery on Lindisfarne, one of our favourite places).

Paul (it's ds's middle name, after dh's grandfather).

Matthew (was our boys name for dd1 and dd2 - ds came in the middle and Aidan suited him so well!)

We actually went with a very common name for DS as it's a family name. It suits him perfectly, so I don't mind in the slightest. Dexter would've been cool though. DS isn't cool so it's ok.

Etienne. Made the short list/Top 3 for DS 1 & 2, but DH vetoed as "we're not French". I tried reasoning that hardly ANY names are truly British ... Unless you want to get medieval. Godfric, anyone? Thought not.
