We have to bear in mind our local accent (Medway)....but...
1) Alice Liberty
or...
2) Elodie Isla

I suppose also derivations of these i.e. Liberty Isla, or Elodie Alice might work too, whaddya think?

Pretty combinations.

willyoulistentome Tue 15-Jan-13 20:56:27

I prefer Elodie Isla, but by the way of nothing at all, it made me laugh, because there are two girls in my sons class called Elodie and Isla. They are the only two red headed girls, but otherwise quite different. There is a whole stack of girlie blonde clones whose names I can remember, but I can never remember which redhead is Isla and which one is Elodie.

I don't like Liberty very much. Sorry!

wiltingfast Tue 15-Jan-13 20:58:02

There's something wonderful about Aloce liberty but I really like Elodie Alice too.

Trills Tue 15-Jan-13 21:05:11

Ell-oh-dee?

Or some other pronunciation that I don't know?

What's your last name initial - does either spell anything?

ukfirestorm Tue 15-Jan-13 21:11:34

thats the pronounciation I think, C-L is the surname. (double barrelled)

BeaLola Tue 15-Jan-13 21:17:15

I love Alice as a name & Elodie - not keen on the other options but could be because small child at nursery called Isla was awful child !

Trills Tue 15-Jan-13 21:27:25

So EICL or ALCL

I don't see any obvious problems there...

ukfirestorm Tue 15-Jan-13 21:30:31

Elodie Alice?

Sasparillo Tue 15-Jan-13 21:49:03

Alice Elodie is the best combo imo xx

PPT Tue 15-Jan-13 21:50:34

Agree that the combo Alice Elodie is beautiful!

storytopper Tue 15-Jan-13 21:52:51

Love Alice. Isla is a bit too popular. Liberty is a bit pretentious. Not sure about Elodie - it might grow on me.

Alice Elodie best combo.

ukfirestorm Tue 15-Jan-13 21:57:49

thanks

Ruprekt Tue 15-Jan-13 21:58:43

Alice Elodie was my thought as I read OP.

thegreylady Tue 15-Jan-13 22:00:13

Alice Elodie or Elodie Alice
I really like Isla and am less keen on Liberty.

forgottenpassword Tue 15-Jan-13 22:04:00

Elodie is beautiful and more unusual than Alice. I like Elodie Rose.

CarriMarie Tue 15-Jan-13 22:14:24

Elodie Alice is my favourite combination.

ukfirestorm Tue 15-Jan-13 22:54:13

thanks

Should say her initials are ELA_.

fishcalledwonder Tue 15-Jan-13 23:08:38

Elodie Alice is lovely. Definitely the best combination. Sorry, but really don't like Liberty.

ChippingInNeedsSleepAndCoffee Tue 15-Jan-13 23:10:50

I love Elodie (thought I might be biased) but not too keen on the others - sorry. How about Elodie Grace? Elodie Nicole? Elodie Rose. I think Elodie and all of your options are too sing song... just my opinion though smile

ukfirestorm Tue 15-Jan-13 23:12:31

thanks

ukfirestorm Tue 15-Jan-13 23:16:53

elodie rose i hadnt thought of but I like a lot

LPplusOne Wed 16-Jan-13 06:13:00

Another one for Elodie Alice - really lovely. Also like Elodie Rose, but just a bit less than EA.

Frikadellen Wed 16-Jan-13 10:14:06

Don't do Liberty Isla it is to close to Liberty Isle

I would do Elodie Alice I dont think Elodie Isla rolls very well on the tongue. and whilst I dont mind Alice it is not one I would use as a first name personally

ukfirestorm Wed 16-Jan-13 19:21:29

thanks

Yika Wed 16-Jan-13 23:20:06

I am obviously in a small minority because I really like Liberty. I also like Alice v much (it's my DD's middle name) and I like the combination of the two. Liberty Alice rolls off the tongue better than the other way round, but Alice is better as a first name.

I agree with Frikadellen about liberty isle.

ellesabe Wed 16-Jan-13 23:43:14

I really like all those names.

The only vague issue might be people mishearing Elodie Isla as Ella Delilah.

mathanxiety Thu 17-Jan-13 02:13:39

Sweet names all. I like Alice Elodie best. I think Elodie is likely to get shortened to the ubiquitous Ellie.

Yika Thu 17-Jan-13 20:13:49

I think I prefer Ella Delilah. smile

forgetmenots Thu 17-Jan-13 21:51:18

Isla Liberty sounds like 'isle o liberty'.

I like Alice Elodie. Agree that Elodie will end up Ellie if it's first name.

pinkandyellowbutterfly Thu 17-Jan-13 22:07:33

Be aware that there can be a negative connotation with the name liberty, the phase 'taking a liberty' is quite popular amongst young people i've heard frequently it from kids as yound as 7. It would be something that I think would put me off, but i'm probably just being over cautious! Love the name Alice its just one of those were you can't go wrong :-)

ukfirestorm Sat 19-Jan-13 00:34:38

NowPlayingZone Sat 19-Jan-13 01:13:11

Elodie Alice sounds nicest & least common.

legallyblond Sat 19-Jan-13 08:01:05

I say choose Alice! 40 year old accountant called Elodie... Not so much. Alice anything - great!

EbbNFlow Sat 19-Jan-13 09:45:34

ukfirestorm Sun 20-Jan-13 21:47:58
