Ds3 born last Friday.

We have no name.

We have ds1 and ds2 called Alfie and jack, so it needs to suit/match their names.

I love Michael-but it's my brothers name
I love Thomas-also my brothers name
I love Dylan-dh doesn't
Like Harry-but too like Alfie
Like Ben-I think

Any suggestions?!?
Please?!?!

Charlie would go with Alfie & jack

Ben nice.

Would it be a problem naming DS after your brother though? Wouldn't it be a nice gesture too?

Personally I don't go with the idea of matchy matchy names. Just call your new little boy whatever you want.

I dont think Harry and Alfie are alike at all.

I like all of the names on your list though, I would just go with the one you think fits him best.

Max?

hurricanewyn Sat 17-Nov-12 08:24:12

Ben & Harry are both lovely names. I don't think Alfie is too close to Harry if you want to use it.

What about Finn? I like the sound of that with your other two boys.

AThingInYourLife Sat 17-Nov-12 08:25:35

None of the names suggested in the OP are "matchy matchy", they just sound good with names she already has.

I love the name Michael. I'm sure your brother would be honoured smile

Charlie would go really well. Also like Harry, Ben and max. Love the name Noah but not sure if that would go?

Ben is lovely.

Also, Max, George, Sam, Edward (just because I love the nn Ted), Henry, Alex

Ooops just realised Max has already beeb sugessted many times

Danny?

Pourquoimoi Sat 17-Nov-12 08:43:47

I know someone with an Alfie and a Harry, it never occurred to me that they are too alike.

Pourquoimoi Sat 17-Nov-12 08:44:14

I like Ben too, hate Danny but like Dan/Daniel.

MaryPoppinsBag Sat 17-Nov-12 08:45:31

I know brothers called Harry & Alfie.

Joshua?

Ben! Lovely (and my DN's name).

EdwardtheEagle Sat 17-Nov-12 08:50:57

William?

Thomas Michael - so names for both your brothers, and Alfie, Jack and Tom sound lovely together.

The Alfie I know has brothers called William and Oscar, and the Jack I know has a brother called Daniel (Daniel is older, and there is a sister in between so it doesn't sound like the drink)

cece Sat 17-Nov-12 16:40:48

We were like this with DS2. In the end we went for Tom (not Thomas) could you do that?

Michael is lovely and underused or how about Mark?

My other suggestion is Jonathan nn Jonny.

PrannyHamster Sat 17-Nov-12 18:58:32

Noah? Freddie? Daniel? Joshua?

Alfie, Jack and Sam is what came to me.

My DD is Edward, known as Eddie.
I also liked Harry, Jack, Oliver and Zachary. I kind of like more modern names like Harley and Mason too.

*Ds not DD bloody phone.

Think it's going to be Ben (Benjamin)

Would love Michael but dh is completely against.

Would like Daniel too but he doesn't look like a daniel(though he's only a week and hasn't even uncurled yet!)

Thanks for the replies.

Also like theo, but worried I'll go off it.

Boys names are so tricky!!

jaffacakehips Sat 17-Nov-12 22:55:56

First name that I thought off was Sam.

Ben is also lovely.

I know brothers called Harry and Alfie, can't see the problem smile

Good luck and congrats on new DS
