Baby names

Need some boys names suggestions

Ok, so I have posted here how we are currently thinking of calling our baby boy to be born in November, Max.

However, I am wondering whether there is anything else I should consider. Nothing really grabs us as much as Max.

We considered Edward, Thomas, Oscar, Nicholas, Jasper. But these don't feel as right as Max.

Any suggestions for another names I might like which are similar to Max. I like normal names which are easier to spell but are cute on a baby and work well for an adult.

Not overly worried about popularity but would not choose Oscar or Noah because I feel like these are done to death at the moment (though both gorgeous names). And please don't tell me Max is a dog's name

Thanks!

I'm just excited to see 8mo DS's name in coffee's list! It never makes anyone's lists!

Ha ha!! Hedwig you are so right!!

I am stepping away from the baby name board now.

We love love love Max and are even thinking (gasp!) of putting Maximilian on the birth certificate. My husband just loves Maximilian. I honestly think he would just be called Max because honestly, I think Maximilian would be a little too much for good ol' Australia.

Ok, no more suggestions.

Max it is!

OP-should you step back-Max is lovely!
Also like Maxim as a "formal" name.

Thanks diddl. Maxim is our second favourite for a "formal" name although having worked in Russia for two years I am a little put off by it because it's very Russian. My husband's origins are Serbian and the spelling there is Maksim. I have said no to that because I think it might look a little made-up in Australia.

And thanks for confirming Max is lovely!

I like Maxim from the book Rebecca.
Although have a feeling that the characters "proper" name was Maximilian & he was known as Maxim.

Maximilian would give the opportunity for Max or Maxim though.
