Don't think so. I think it's lovely, and I'm not chavvy

Not at all IMO.

Agree with Drama - 'overused' and 'chav' (which generally doesn't go down well here as a description) are two entirely different things...

Chav - rather rude

I think you mean popular

I don't know what chav means but yes it is quite popular. Not my cup of tea, sounds a bit like a doll's name to me.

Very overused.

By posh people, wannabes and chavs equally.

The only small Annabel I know of is the product of chav-like people but I think it's used by other types too.

It used to be quite posh but has become regular, therefore used by all types of people.

How the fuck can a name become chav . Chav is used to describe a behaviour/life style. Popular isn't chav fgs.

Ds2 would have been called Annabel if he had been a girl. It is quite popular in our area but certainly not chav.

Not at all, underused as far as I can see!

Overused/popular doesn't equal downmarket in my book. I think 'bel' names in general are getting very popular (Isabel, Bella).

I would have said that Annabel is one of those names where you cannot identify a person's class or background just from the name.

I think it is popular but not chav. I much prefer Isabelle myself but Annabel is a perfectly lovely name.

I only think of chav names as those ones which are made up or try and use an "original" type of spelling. Oh yeah - also anything of the Jayden variety, but that is just me. Annabel certainly does not fall into that category.

It is certainly not a chav name. I think it's a beautiful name.

Well then my daughter has a 'chav' name and my son a 'posh' name !!

I'm not English and find the whole labelling of names so ridiculous!!!

You thought Lucinda was chav too I think. I wonder what circles you're moving in.
