Lovely. Lois very resonant of superman, don't see that as a bad thing.

Claudia is classy.

Willow is lovely too, taught a willowy girl called willow once. Too scared to give it to my daughters as it might not fit if they're like me as teenagers...!

Rowan is a little androgynous for me.

Have you considered 'Wren'?

Do like Wren, but sounds wrong with surname.

I have the same thoughts about Willow actually, may have to be a middle name.

Lois lovely. Willow would suit a willowy type of girl! I always say Claudia as Cloudier not Clawdia - as I first heard it in the German way. I like it as Cloudier not as Clawdia but that's just me.

Love them all except Lois.

LOVE Rowan. So I used it as DD's middle name. That's the only one I really like.

How funny, quite a mixed bag of opinions!

What first and middle name combinations do you like?

I like them all - they are all feminine without being twee

But Claudia is my definite favourite

I like all of them, probably Rowan the most, have you considered Lowen? I prefer it a little

Lois - not keen, it seems like a slightly lumbering, un-pretty name, but that's just my perception.

Claudia - really like this

Willow - too new age for me, too.

Rowan - love this name for a girl.

Willow and Rowan are my favourites from your list. I like Hazel too, and Laurel. Also like Rowena.

Lois is very plain to my ears, while Claudia sounds a bit harsh.

Claudia is my favourite from your list.

I love Rowan for a boy but dislike it for a girl.

Wren - really like this.

Claudia, Lois, Willow, Rowan would be my order of preference.

diplodoris · 17/06/2010 21:30

You've asked for first and middle name combinations OP, but my favourite first name would be Lois, and I don't think Willow or Rowan would "go" as there would be too much of the "oh" sound (as well as too many L's with Willow and Lois). I don't particularly like Claudia. So, I'd vote for Lois as first name and think of something else for a middle name.

Hmmm, I thought you had, but can't see it now....
