Seth and Levi are possible, althoug Seth is hard for a lisper or in Kent, and Levi is associated with jeans. But the others are a bit "try too hard', IMHO! Sorry!

I like Seth; I don't mind any of the others. I know a 5yo Riley -- his mum is always immaculately turned out so I think of it as a tasteful name like her.

My friedn's Seth is always "Seff" at school - drives her mad. Particularly when it's spelled that way!

My son is called Levi and when i asked people what they thought of it on MN i got a lot of negative responses. i don't think you can go wrong with a biblical name. I love the name Seth too! Also Lennon i think is cool but Riley is the name of few of my friend's daughter's (i don't live in the UK)so i cannot think of it as a boy's name. people are a bit try hard here and adore Oliver, Charlie, Octavia, Eloise as there are many lower middle class mnetters who think they are upper class because they bought an aga.

mittyslave, ha ha! i do like those 'aspirational' names I guess, but I know I'm not living a life others aspire to! That's for sure. But there is a huge difference between Mumsnetters' opinions and British peoples' opinions. Some of the names rejected by MN-ers for being the C word haaarsh

I dislike the USE of Riley more than Riley itself, because it's an Irish sur name which is used sometimes by Americans "because they are Irish" when in actual fact if you said to them that sounds really American they wouldn't be interested, they're only interested in an American perception of Irish. So that is annoying. I also dislike the way Finley is being considered a girls' name by Americans with celtic roots. If they're going to use the names, it eventually makes them unusable in their original usage over here. dyswim?

I think Scottish gaelic form of Laurence is actually Lachlan anyway..... although there could be another form of it that is Lauchlin.... ? But it doesn't look right to me.

Seth ok not mind blowing, there was a Seth on Emmerdale [old man].Levi ok reminds me of jeans and a young name.{shortened to Lee}Lennon reminds me of Oasis, not sure about that.[shortened to Len!}Lauchlin interesting gaelic, probably go for that one! Riley is nice too.{shortened to Riles!!}

to be honest i am not sure if i like any of them enough to use them and am not even sure it is a boy i am having! Have a girls name sorted but already have two boys one has a 'surname' name the other has an old testament name but not very common in the parts where i live so am trying to come up with boys names that will fit in with the other two's names, if you see what i mean!

also realise now the ocrrect spelling is Lachlan!
