Baby 3 due in June, have a short list of boys names ready but cannot pick a girls name.

Love Eliza but already have Eleanor so think it's a no no. Also quite like Elizabeth.

What is best nn for Elizabeth: Betty, Bessie, Beth or Libby?

Or any other suggestions?

BTW we also have a Billy (William officially)

I LOVE Beth or Libby - depends on character really - Beth I think of as quieter (blame Little Women), Libby more outgoing.

Beth or Libby are both lovely. I hate Betty and Bessie, and think they're real fat old lady names.

We're thinking of Elizabth nn Bess or Bessie for my 26 week old bump. Don't think Billy and Bessie are too similar -Eliza and Eleanor more so.

Like the other nns too though, esp Libby or Betsy or Beth. Not as keen on Betty but I get why people love it, it's warm, cute and retro.

PS also love Elizabeth nn Elsie -bit close to Eleanor again though, but less so if she's known as Nell.

LOVE Elsie as a name in its own right.
