Hey,

Just a bit of advice, I have 2 children Sean and Sophie, expecting our third but I am really against giving it a name that starts with S as i think its a bit much, but DH adament on carrying on the S theme!

What do you think? 3 's' names too much in one family?

Thanx

I wouldn't but then I didn't want any of mine to have the same initial due to growing up with a mother who opened my mail 'accidently' due to us sharing an initial

if the name you love is another one beginning with S then fair enough

just pick the name you like regardless of same initial or not

I would try to avoid it tbh but if you really like another S name then go for it.

I wouldn't do it myself (wouldn't have even done the 2 that you do have), but up to you really.

My two are 9 years apart so names were purely based on what I liked at the time but dizzydixies I see the problems that can occur!!

I think I will try to avoid 's' names this time around ...

Doesn't make much difference in my opinion - its more a question of what name you like. My name starts with an E, and we didn't even realise the coincidence when we chose dd's name with an initial letter E. We then chose an E name for ds - not on purpose, just the name that we liked best. In this day and age I think it is fairly straightforward to work out who post is for - and a lot of communication is via email/text etc, but formal letters - the Mrs, Miss or Mr help! I honestly wouldn't worry. Think when next dc is born we might have to go for another letter! Best of luck!
