Agree. Is it made up?

as TheDiaryofa said... I like Stephanie/Stephie though

I thought Zephanie was a typo of Stephanie (the Z and S are right next to eachother on the keyboard). My guess is that many people will think this for the rest of her life.

Apart from that I really don't like the name anyway.

I quite like it but everyone will think you said Stephanie.

I like it, but in the same way that I like fantastical names that I would never ever use (like Apollo or Achilles).

I don't like Stephanie at all though, all the Stephanies I've ever known have been plain and unpleasant.

Padraig Do you know my DH?! he really wanted to name our son Apollo, obviously I told him no way.

padraig · 24/04/2010 00:14

It's an awesome name to be fair.

Does your DH watch Battlestar Galactica btw?

Thediaryofanobody · 24/04/2010 00:53

Yes we both Do but he was saying it long before then. Think he might have been watching Apollo 11.

I like Zeph for a boy but it's abit too different for girl.

muminthemiddle · 24/04/2010 09:45

Never heard of it before. Not too bad but agree that people might assume her name is Stephanie.

belgo · 24/04/2010 09:46

It might be made up but I really like it.

Trying too hard.

It's not made up and it is used in "The Trouble with Lichen" by John Wyndham in the 50s which I recently read.

It's got greek origins.

crumpette · 24/04/2010 10:30

I like it

I really like it, original, quirky and cool!

Great change from all the Lilys/ Poppys and Evies! (no offense to them)

What about Zephyr instead? Nickname still works and nobody will mistake it for something else.
